Variable Area Flow Meters from Hedland
Hedland variable area flow meters give a clearly visible indication of system flow with a choice of optional electronic outputs. The traditional variable area design has been brought up-to-date by utilising a sharp edged orifice and spring loaded float to ensure operation in any orientation.
Constructed from a choice of aluminium, brass or stainless steel and with an accuracy of ±2%, the rugged construction of Hedland meters enables them to work under a wide range of harsh conditions encountered in modern industrial applications. Operational pressures are up to 6000 psi/414 bar and temperatures up to 260°C/500°F. Suitable for Water, Oil, Chemicals and Gas.

The meters are available with a variety of end fittings ½” to 3” (6mm to 76mm). Hedland’s unique design also allows the visual linear scale to be rotated 360° to optimise readability even after permanent installation.
